You may be thinking why i am calling it part-2(Dont worry there was never any epilogue to this).Actually i thougt of updating my blog yesterday, that is Saptami, but alas. Durgapuja is kind of a break for the festive hungry bengali(I meant break with another festival). We are celebrting hroughout the year and this october gala is the best.Maa Durga comes on her lion with a band of sons and daughters(namely Kartik, Saraswati, Ganesh,Laksmi)leaving her hubby Lord Shiva alone.Shops and markets are full and money is raining(in the true sense of the term),just as christmas in the west. This Kashful(a kind of grass) and Dhak(Amusical instrument which the man on the top right corner is playing)makes it really nostalgic for the common bengali, and why not.I am not much into celebration but it really gets you in the festive mood.Though its a bengali festival but still leaves its mark throughout India and the west as well.So celebrate but dont forget those who cant afford to,with this i end, and happy puja.( I mean i better run before the rassgullas come to a rather sweet end).
